20th Avenue (D)
This stop is like a mini-Chinatown with no tourists. Come here for Asian grocery shopping, bubble tea, Asian food and snacks and desserts and the like.
Project472 recommends trying New HK Tea & Sushi, Mango Mango Dessert, Yomie’s Rice x Yogurt, or anything else that catches your eye along the main drag of 86th street.
There’s also some good street art if you poke around.
If you head in the direction of the water, you’ll hit Bath Ave, where the vibe starts to branch out from Asian to multicultural. If you head out this direction, try La Chacra Restaurant for a solid Peruvian fix.
