Chambers Street (1, 2, 3)
A little bit of a no man’s land between FiDi and Tribeca. But don’t worry, I found cute spots.
For a small art gallery that invites you to sit down among the pieces with a coffee or friend, try Mriya Art Gallery. It advertises itself as the first Ukrainian gallery in NYC.
It's rare to find an art gallery with seating. Take advantage of it at Mriya! Come in with a coffee and a friend.
If you’re a mystery buff, you might like the Mysterious Bookshop, which dedicates an entire back wall to Sherlock Holmes.

The Borough of Manhattan Community College is off this stop, and it’s teeming with edgily well-dressed students of color. I once saw BJ Novak and Dove Shore here at a film screening of Vengeance, but, unless you’re a student or here for an event, you can’t access the main campus building.
I wasn’t extraordinarily inspired by food options around here - it’s mostly fast casual - but, I’d try Nish Nush if you’re in the area.
If you walk towards the water, you’ll find some black sculptures at the small Rockefeller waterfront park. They’re interesting, and the park has decent views.
Rockefeller Park (not to be confused with Rockefeller Center, uptown).
To be honest, I use this stop to get groceries at the Whole Foods.
What did I miss? Scroll past the pics and let me know in the comments!

This building dominates the eye around the station exit.
