The plaza itself is a giant traffic circle with a large central arch.

A large Brooklyn Public Library branch is off this station.

Prospect Park near this station has a lot of rolling grassy fields, good for sports or a picnic.

Take Vanderbilt Ave into Prospect Heights for a snack (so many cute coffee and dessert shops) or one of my favorite bookstores: Unnameable Books. It’s the kind of place where you can ask if they have any Kazuo Ishiguro, and the storeteller will list off from memory the available titles new and used.
