Fort Hamilton Parkway (F, G)
This stop brings you to a tight-knit residential community that has a quaint, hippie vibe to it, despite being right next to a large and busy freeway. It’s the kind of stop with lots of babies and kids, charming two-to-three-story homes, and neighborhood hang-out culture. It’s also walking distance to Prospect Park and great for a date or family-night-out.
For a cute dinner spot, I recommend Cena or Le Paddock. But this is also the kind of stop where you can pick up a bottle of wine from Juice Box Wine & Spirits and bring it to a neighbor who will host you on their stoop on a nice day.
Le Paddock.
For a farmhouse-vibed apothecary, where you can also get a facial or massage if you book in advance, try the Brooklyn Herborium.
Brooklyn Herborium.
Tea Time Tactics is a nice community space for kids, where parents can have some downtime in the cafe section.
Child-care center/parental third-space.
Walk a few blocks to Prospect Park, and you’ll be able to snag views of the big lake among the wide cement bike and stroller paths.
Prospect Park, close to the station. Uh, come in summer.
In general, this is the kind of area where families know each other. In Project472’s view, this is a great place to grow up, regardless of what age you are. Or a great place to hang out among a community vibe, even if you’re just stopping by.
I spy the subway station.
Sidewalk vibe around the station.
