Sutphin Boulevard - Archer Avenue - JFK Airport (E, J, Z)

This is a transit hub to JFK Airport (via Airtrain), Long Island (via LIRR), and casinos (via Resort World NYC Shuttle). It’s got Auntie Annie’s and Chipotle right at the subway exit, and a bunch of delis.

The area mostly caters to Black and Latinx working class individuals who are likely to be employed by the airport, but there are some newer high rise apartments that suggest gentrification might be forthcoming.

Walk a block to El Rinconcito Catracho Grocery, though, and the high rises give way to a Salvadorian enclave.

A little Salvadorian neighborhood just a block away from the transit hub.

The glassy transit hub.

An unmarked safety-outfits store nearby the station.

It goes from “glassy transit hub” to deep Salvador real quick out here.

I spy … a Chipotle!
